North Pender Island, one of Canada's southern Gulf Islands, lies in the Gulf of Georgia between mainland British Columbia and Vancouver Island. Just a few miles to the south the border separates the Canadian Gulf Islands from the American San Juan Islands. Despite being close to Vancouver, Victoria and Seattle the Pender Islands have a permanent population of just over 2000 people.
Most of North Pender's population resides in Magic Lake Estates, where the Golf Island Disc Park is located. Many of Pender's vacation rentals and B&Bs are also in the Magic Lake area.
